Reading silences/silent readings: Disrupting the hegemony of voice in research with disabled children

چکیده

By referring to an example from my doctoral research with children labeled and diagnosed intellectual disabilities, I make a case for the ways that reading silences silent readings within are not only necessary but integral refusing claims of western colonial logics while also attending circulation power imbalances processes. One key aims is consider how embodied knowledges might increase access inclusion disabled in knowledge production.
